Nonlinear Feedback Control Synthesis |

Our objective is to transition new nonlinear control theory and
nonlinear feedback synthesis approaches to practical control design
methods. We are currently using the problem of controlling the
attitude of a rigid body as a model problem for nonlinear control
design. In particular, the problem of global attitude stabilization
has the challenging features of a nonlinear state space (involving
the space of rotations SO(3)) and nonlinear dynamics.
